How has it changed over the years?
In ancient China they would use an instrument called an Armillary sphere and the naked eye to line up the stars and constellations to put on a chart. People and scientists thought that the Earth was the center of our solar system and that there were only 5 other planets besides Earth. The ancient Chinese were certain that we were the only solar system in the universe.
Now they have high-powered telescopes and computer programs that map out where all of the stars are in the sky over what ever continent they are in. Modern day astronomers have proven that there are hundreds of other galaxies in the universe.
